With canvases spread across the ground, chance, paint and water collide, shift, expand, repel and fuse until the image settles into place. Weather, gravity and the quality inherent within the materials form a horizon-less landscape (below) from which fragments of figures, symbols and narratives gradually emerge (above).

Through repeated acts of drawing, painting, erasure, burial and retrieval, forms surface and then recede. Submerged traces of the image eventually come to rest within layers of translucent paint.

Too many layers to count, patiently leads into an almost black, veiled within the depths of a red wine and indigo night sky.
